We’ve received many inquiries regarding the product identification number (barcode/model number) input policy, so we would like to provide additional guidance.
The requirement to enter a barcode number (GTIN) or model number applies only to branded products that have officially verifiable product identification information.
Therefore, for products that do not have officially verifiable barcode numbers (GTINs) or model numbers, as listed below, you are not required to enter this information. In such cases, you must not enter arbitrary numbers.
- Custom-made products
- Handmade products
- Non-branded products
- Generic products
- Products for which the manufacturer or brand does not officially provide product identification numbers
In particular, the following information cannot be entered as a barcode number (GTIN) or model number:
- Seller’s internal SKU codes
- Inventory management codes
- Option names or option combination values
- Arbitrarily generated numbers or characters
- GTINs or model numbers belonging to other products
- Identification numbers unrelated to the actual product
Please note that if an officially existing barcode number (GTIN) or model number is omitted or entered inaccurately, measures such as product registration restrictions or exposure limitations may apply.

■ Applicable Products
Branded products with officially verifiable barcode numbers (GTINs) or model numbers.
※ Excludes custom-made products, handmade products, non-branded products, and other products without official identification numbers.
※ Applicable brands will also be expanded sequentially.
■ Effective Dates
- Manually registered products: June 1, 2026 (Mon)
- API-registered products: August 1, 2026 (Sat)

[2. Terminology]
Sellers are required to enter product identification information only when officially verifiable identification numbers actually exist.
■ Branded Products
Products that display a brand name, logo, trademark, or other brand identification information on the product or packaging, and for which the manufacturer or brand officially provides product identification information.
■ Barcode Number (GTIN)
The Global Trade Item Number displayed below the barcode on the product packaging. In general, the same GTIN is used for the same selling unit.
However, different GTINs may be used depending on packaging unit, quantity configuration, bundle composition, capacity, color, options, country or regional specifications, etc.
■ Model Number
An officially assigned model number, product code, part number, or other official identification number provided by the manufacturer or brand to identify the product.
Depending on the product category, it can usually be found in the following locations:
- Product packaging or label
- Paper hang tags or internal care labels
- Product detail pages on the manufacturer’s or brand’s official website
- Manufacturer catalogs or official product documents
